Grand Gestures for Loyal Customers @Telus Is Putting Smiles On Faces With #ActsOfCaring

There are customer service wins and customer service fails.  It seems like I can't go through my newsfeeds without seeing status updates about friends who have encountered crummy service providers and businesses. I have more than my own fair share of horror stories, but this is not that kind of post.  I wanted to help promote a happy story about a lady named Ramona.  I don't know her at all, other than the bits and pieces shared in her video.  She has been a TELUS customer for 20 years and was given a day to remember for the rest of her life. I'm not the teary-eyed type, but my heart couldn't help but leap with excitement for her as I watched her special surprises unfold in the video below.

Have you ever thought about what events or dreams would fill your own Grand Gestures kind of day?  If given the chance to pick my own dream day, it would have to involve being a panelist on my favourite game show Match Game or to have a jam session with my favourite singer/songwriter Jann Arden. Both of those scenarios top my list of daydreams.

Did you know...
  • The TELUS Care-a-Van team hosted events and activities that all week long to specially thank TELUS local customers and the Guelph community.
  • TELUS is literally performing everyday acts of caring all over the Guelph community throughout the week. As part of this, they were donating $5 to the Guelph Children's Foundation for every use of the hashtag #actsofcaring.
  • They went door to door to the homes of the top 100 customers to thank them personally with a care package.
  • TELUS hosted a free BBQ lunch for the top 1000 customers and their families at the local TELUS store.
  • Guelph Children's Foundation recieved a cheque in the amount of $5000 - in response to all the uses of #actsofcaring.  Donald Woodley (member of TELUS Board of Directors) presented the cheque.
In an age when bad service is shouted from the social media soap boxes of every disgruntled customer, I would like to applaud TELUS for their customer service win!

Disclosure: This is a compensated post on behalf of Telus  and Mom Central Canada. All opinions remain honest and my own. I am not eligible to win or benefit from the Grand Gestures #ActsofCaring Campaign.
