L'il Miss Santa: Fostering Pretend Play and Self-Help Skills With Costume Supercenter.

Last month I was offered a chance to review a kids Christmas costume from Costume Supercenter.  I figured ~Why not?~ Costumes are not just for Halloween.  Any teacher with a room full of preschoolers can tell you that costumes are an EVERYDAY source of fun and can help your child's imagination soar.  I was not familiar with the Costume Supercenter site, so took my time browsing around the categories and selection.  The hardest part of the whole process was deciding what to get.  I nearly ordered the Child Reindeer Costume but decided to get the L'il Miss Santa costume in a size small. I thought my daughter might like to wear it to one of our Christmas parties.

So, my costume was shipped out around December 10 and I received it within a week.  I opened it and knew it was going to be big for my Princess Destructo (no fault to Costume Supercenter, I ordered it big on purpose).  She is in the limbo stage ~too big for toddler sizes ~too small for girl's sizes.  The L'il Miss Santa - size small was for girls size 4/5. She's currently wearing size 2 or 3 depending on the store.

My package contained: a long-sleeved red dress with fur trim, a red cape, a belt, and a Santa hat.  As soon as the Santa hat came out of the package it was placed on her head and worn all day.  Heck, she even wore it to bed the last 4 nights.  She has been wearing the dress and/or the cape as well at various points. The Christmas Party is tomorrow and I'm sure she will be happy to wear her L'il Miss Santa outfit.

Yes, those are PJ's under there.
Review Pros:

  • They ship to Canada, which makes me very happy.
  • There are many ways to find what you are looking for. You can search their site by keyword, category, gender, theme, etc.
  • Great costume descriptions and size charts.  You know exactly what is included in your costume, no surprises.
  • Props are suggested based on what you are viewing. They can be purchased to enhance your costume/character theme.
  • Quality costume received exactly as described. I knew that I would need to have her own tights and shoes to go with this outfit.
  • Great prices and fabulous selection of products to suit everyone.

Bottom Line:
I will definitely be ordering from Costume Supercenter again and recommend them to any friend or family member looking for a costume or dress up props.  I was truly happy with the selection, value, and quality of my costume.  I wish I had known about them when searching for infant Halloween costumes two years ago.  Pop over there today to see for yourself.  If you're on google+ why not add them to your circles too.

*I was given a complimentary costume to aid in my review. Opinions remain honest and my own.

Yes, i love finding a costume that will stand up to being worn for more than one or two days. I don't really do much for Halloween so costumes were usually for dress up and year round play.
